How do I make a Freedom of Information request to the Commission?
As a public authority, we are subject to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and have an obligation to comply with written requests for information and provide advice and assistance to you.
We have a Publication Scheme which has been approved by the Information Commissioner and it sets out:
- what we publish
- the form in which we publish
- any charges we may make
You should read the Scheme as it sets out what information is available as a matter of course and what can be requested under FOI.
If the information you’re looking for isn’t available via the Scheme and isn’t on the website, you can still ask if we have it.
All FOI requests for information not included in the Scheme must be made in writing fully describing the information required in as much detail as you can.
All requests for information will be treated on a case-by-case basisand further information about FOI can be found on the Information Commissioner’s Office website.
