Can I view the accounts for a charity?

Most registered charities with an income of over £25,000 must send their accounts to us within ten months of their financial year end and you can view these on the register of charities.

To view and download the accounts:

  • type the charity’s name or number into the green ‘search for a charity’
  • select ‘view accounts’ from the menu on the left

If the accounts aren’t available for download and you think they should be, contact the charity directly. All charities are legally obliged to provide their accounts to you on request. They are allowed to charge a reasonable photocopying expense for this service.
