CHARITY COMMISSION

SERVICE DELIVERY AGREEMENT 2001-04

In July the Government published its high level objectives and targets as part of the outcome of the 2000 Spending Review.

At the same time, the Government committed itself to producing documents which would set out each departments' agreed strategy for delivering those high-level objectives, and how they needed to change internally to achieve best value for money in doing so. This Service Delivery Agreement is the result for the Charity Commission: in it the Chief Charity Commissioner has agreed with the Treasury how in broad terms the Commission’s high level objectives will be achieved, how performance will be improved within the Department, how it will focus more closely on the needs of customers, how the Department's human and IT resources will be managed to achieve change, and the steps in hand to improve policy-making in line with the Modernising Government White Paper.
