Purpose: To emphasise that charity names proposed for inclusion in our Schemes should be checked on CDB for s.6(2) compliance.

All proposed charity names for inclusion in Schemes should be checked against existing CDB entries.

 

The case officer will decide whether the name is acceptable for the purposes of section 6(2) in accordance with the guidance given in OGs C1 to C5 of this series and will consult the Charity Names Officer in all cases of doubt.

 

If the name is considered unacceptable the procedure set out in OG 18 B3 will be followed.
